Trendy

I'm not a passive enjoyer of media. I watch things like 'Blade Runner' and 'Remains of the Day' and wish that I could, somehow, remove the stupid bird imagery from the endings; I listen to Peter Gabriel's 'In Your Eyes' and wish I could remove the finger-cymbals from the whole thing.

NIN recently released a new album, without much warning, for free on their/his website, noting "this one's on us." I'm downloading it now. I'm hearing positive things about it. NIN is not the first band to do this, but they were one of the first to begin releasing songs layer by layer, so that it would be easy to remix them (Bowie may have beaten them to it, Radiohead followed suit recently). This is chock full of awesome. Things are busy right now at school, my brother is getting married, and we're going to Italy, but I'll post my own mix of a new NIN song as soon as I make one.

Reading this, I felt a little twinge of guilt about the Peter Gabriel thing. Sorry about that.
