This past weekend was my brother's wedding and it went very well. I served as best man. I met his wife's friends and family for the first time, and they were all sorts of swell. Between the wedding and the bachelor party, some of my brother's friends became my own. It was also great to see so much of my family gathered. The ceremony was held at a lodge in Lutsen, MN, not too far south of Canada along Lake Superior (pictured). There was a lot of driving involved (between the wedding and bac
helor party, I drove over 2,000 miles which, as The Pretenders will tell you, is very far), but it was worth it.
Weddings are supposed to inspire all sorts of funny or tragic stories, the sort that make for good blog entries. I suppose there was confusion (how can people with the capacities to raise children, climb corporate ladders and write books not have the acuity to arrange breakfast?), drama (temporarily missing groom) and silliness (a stuffed turtle destroyed in its prime), but I got nothing.
Of course, how many people who read this weren't there anyway?
