The Cinque Terre has now surpassed Grand Marais as the most beautiful place I've ever seen. Every cove looks piratey (caves and what-not), and has clean, shimmering, Mediterranean water. Lisa and I celebrated today less by swimming (we did a little) and more by hiking: 11 km of stairs (which is like 100 miles, I think). We're pretty smart.
So, where's the most beautiful place you've ever been?

Stunning places I've visited.... Monaco, southern Germany, Letchworth Park in NY, Yellowstone/Tetons... too many beautiful places, in very different ways.
