Things that are up with me:
1. I'm plotting a short bus trip to visit my friends Melinda and David in Indianapolis (where we'll take in a show by this ensemble called 'Radiohead') and then to see family in and around Cincinnati.
2. I'm not taking summer for granted. I feel very lucky to have a month before I need to be to work. It was my hope to write and record music in that time. We'll see. When it's sunny out, and one can go out, it's hard not to.
3. I came up with the most succinct statement of my views on President Bush: he's overrated. The best burn on the current government, however, goes to this 2002 Onion piece. I spend a lot of time thinking about and following the news, especially politics. Usually it just makes me angry.
I have no follow up to that statement. Following news -> anger. At least hulu.com has The Daily Show, which is a bit of sugar to help the medicine go down. Also good is NPR's 'Wait Wait Don't Tell Me'.
Oh, and the picture of Winona Ryder from when her hot-to-crazy ratio was better was found while looking for haircut suggestions for Lisa. I was going to put a picture of Dubya there, but it just made me angry.

Oh, and that's "a short bus-trip" not "a short-bus trip". It's all about the emphasis.
